Pond Makeover & Water-garden Blooms Photo Contest
Sponsored by Ponds USA and Water Gardens and Laguna Water Gardening

Show us how you enhanced your water features. Demonstrate what you came up with through photos of your pond and water feature renovations while in progress and when completed. Once you finish your pond, you can add the final touch: flowers and plants that will bloom in and near your feature. Share pictures of your new and improved water features with our print and online readers! You might end up on the pages of Ponds USA for all to admire.

The official photo contest categories are:

• Pond renovation/relocation. Pond and water feature makeovers from the ground up. Show us pictures of construction and of your completed project. From simple to dramatic, all entries are encouraged.

• Water-garden Flowers. Show off the varieties of colorful flowers that grow in and around your pond. Send photos of waterlilies and all the other blooms at your water's edge.

Four winners - a first and second in each category - will receive prizes from contest sponsors Laguna Water Gardening, manufacturers of pond products from liners, pumps and filters to fish food and water treatments. 

Each first-place winner receives a Laguna Pressure-Flo 2100 UVC Filter, a Laguna PowerGlo Mini Light Kit, a bag of Laguna Premium Koi & Goldfish Floating Food Sticks; and a Laguna Saqquara Fountain Ornament from Laguna's extensive decorative line, which includes spitters shaped like angels, frogs, turtles, dolphins and more.

Each second-place winner receives a PowerJet 1300 Electronic Fountain Pump Kit, new Laguna Premium Koi & Goldfish Floating Food Sticks and Laguna Saqquara Fountain Ornament.

Contest Rules:

1. All entries must be postmarked by Sept. 30, 2008.

2. This contest is not open to employees of BowTie Inc. and Rolf C. Hagen (USA) Corp./Laguna Water Gardening.

3. Only color slides, prints or high-resolution digital images (taken with a camera having 5 or more megapixels) will be accepted. Label each slide or photo with your name and address or include this information with digital images. Do not use staples or paper clips. Ponds USA and Water Gardens and Rolf C. Hagen (USA) Corp./Laguna Water Gardening are not responsible for lost or damaged entries.

4. A completed entry form or all information from the form must accompany every submission. Photocopies of the form are acceptable.

5. Entries become the property of BowTie magazines, a division of BowTie Inc. The company cannot confirm receipt or return entries, and may use them for any purpose. By submitting your photograph to this photo contest, you agree that if you win the contest, your contact information will be given to contest sponsors, who may use the information for marketing purposes.

6. Do not telephone Ponds USA and Water Gardens offices regarding the contest. The winners will be notified.

7. A panel of judges and the editors of Ponds USA and Water Gardens will select the winners.

8. The winning entries will be published in the 2009 edition of Ponds USA and Water Gardens, due out in February 2009.
